About this page
We can say ‘ This is a book for you’ meaning it is a present for you. We also use ‘for’ to talk about time and how long. Ben, the café owner says ‘I will train you for three days.’ You can say ‘’I sleep for 8 hours every night’ – ‘I study for 6 hours everyday’. We also use ‘in’ to talk about a period of time, ‘In the morning’, in the summer holidays, and we use ‘in’ with some adjectives such as ‘interested in’. In the next exercise you will see sentences with the preposition missing and need to decide which preposition to use from the drop down list. Good luck.
