This lesson looks at something that can be complex and difficult for learners of English. In grammar terms this is called the ‘Reflexive Pronoun’. Singular pronouns are myself - yourself - himself - herself – itself while Plural ourselves - yourselves - themselves. This video lesson gives an explanation of the usage of the reflexive pronoun as a direct object when the object is the same as the subject of the verb. After prepositions of place and after with we use personal pronouns. In the following activity students are given an image prompt and asked to input the correct reflexive pronoun or personal pronoun in a conversation with the grammar Guru.
